Puppies Dressed as Thanksgiving Dinner

If you don't think that Puppies Dressed as Thanksgiving Dinner is the cutest thing ever, you don't have a heart.

Today I am thankful for...

Today I am thankful for Conan O'Brien. The Tonight Show is now my favorite TV show (even more than the Office!) Conan is hilarious. His hair is so ugly, but so perfect. I nearly peed my pants laughing the other night--he had a vampire, a wolf-boy, and Frankenstein on the show. So funny. Other guest stars lately have included: Taylor Lautner, Pee Wee Herman (total creeper), Jack McBrayer, Marissa Miller, Dan Cummins, Norm MacDonald (that was my personal favorite), and Donald Faison. He also had little puppies dressed as Thanksgiving Dinner last night. It was super cute. Thankfully, we have a DVR(as mentioned in previous post), and I set up a series recording of his show, so now I will never miss an episode! If you haven't seen The Tonight Show, you better start watching it. For us, it is on NBC at 10:30. Check it out!
Check out the videos below, they are hilarious!

Today I am thankful for...

Today (Thursday) I am thankful for a great Thanksgiving Day! We went to the stake center in Malad, where we had Thanksgiving with my dad's side of the family. It was a blast! My mom made some "Gay Pride Jello"- or otherwise known as 14 layered jello. It is a pretty little rainbow, which is why my cousin Cassie named it that. While the meal was great, the dodgeball was even better. I think we worked off the big dinner just playing the game. I can't believe how loud the smacking noises were when the ball met flesh. It was like a gunshot. No major injuries, but probably a few bruises. My right arm is totally stiff. We had a lot of fun hanging out with the relatives and I can't wait for the next get-together.

Today I am thankful for...

Today (Wednesday) I am thankful for Thanksgiving Break. We haven't had a day off school since October, so it is really nice to be able to relax. I finally have time to clean my room. And I had time to make pumpkin chocolate chip bread...something time would not allow on a normal Wednesday! I feel so much less stressed out and it is wonderful! I can watch my Conan O'Brien at 11 at night and not have to wake up at 5 a.m. the next morning--actually, I have been sleeping in really late. I am living the life.

Today I am thankful for...

Today I am thankful that this blog isn't a school project, and it isn't being graded. That would SUCK! I have slacked off big time. I should be slapped(Please don't actually slap me). Lets see, I have missed 10 days, so here we go, 9 things: (The top counts as one)
1. I am thankful for a warm house. When its freezing, a heater is nice.
2. Lean Cuisine dinners. Delicious and healthy.
3. Breakfast Hot Pockets. These things are delicious! They have egg, sausage and cheese inside them. I throw it in the microwave for 2 minutes, and I have a quick on-the-go breakfast.
4. My piano! It's Grandma Buehler's old piano, and it is so much fun! My cousin Amy is giving me piano lessons right now, and I love it. On the down side, I am pretty much the only one who can (or will) play in Seminary, so I have to play pretty much every day.
5. DVR. Every Thursday night I have mutual, so I have to miss my beloved Office. Thankfully, some genius out there realized the same problem I now have and invented the life-altering machine. Now I can record The Office and watch it without feeling my eternal salvation is at stake for missing mutual. It is a miracle in the form of a black box.
6. NEW MOON!! Or, more specifically, Taylor Lautner. I loved New Moon- it was way better than Twilight. This director was a lot better. There was still the Robert Pattinson/Kristen Stewart problem (I don't like them), but Taylor Lautner was amazing. And ripped. Have you seen his abs, ladies? He is gorgeous. I couldn't help but drool a little when he took his [total unnecessary] shirt off. Who needs a vampire when Jacob is around?
7. My dad's new TV and surround sound. He went a little bit too crazy at Lynn's Audio and Video. He bought a new TV, sound system, speakers, a subwoofer and a Blu-ray player. I was thrilled, but my mom wasn't too excited. Actually, she was mad. That sound system is insane. I was upstairs the first day we got it, and I thought there was an earthquake. Turns out it was just my dad turning on a movie. As my dad says: "You have to experience a movie. You don't experience a movie until you feel your butt vibrate. " Since we got that, I am now into Man Movies. Who needs awkward flirting and predictable endings when you can watch war and mystery, like the Patriot, State of Play, and Pearl Harbor.(Ok, Pearl Harbor is kind of a chick flick.) But I have now experienced a movie, and I'm never going back.
8. May-I. This intense card game was introduced to us by some family friends. When I first played it with them, I didn't know the phenomenon it would turn into. Our family would play that game for hours. Fun, fun times. Many jokes and nicknames were born around our table, playing the game. We played it the other night for the first time in forever. It was so much fun, and it feels so natural to be around the table, trying to "go out." I can't wait till everyone is back here for Christmas, so we can shine up our May-I skills.
9. Hannah Montana!! Not. I am actually thankful that my parents will let me watch shows like the Office, so I'm not stuck listening to the pro's and woes of an ordinary teen girl, who is actually a teen pop sensation in secret. I don't have to listen to her fake Tennessee accent and stupid, selfish, random, irrelevant songs. See "Supergirl", "The Other Side of Me", and "Best of Both Worlds". Its enough to drive someone mad. So, in short, I am glad that I have the Office, Seinfeld and Friends to keep me sane.

Today I am thankful for...

Today, I am thankful to be alive and for nice people. This morning, my mom, Melissa, Aunt Debbie, Aunt Lois, and I went to Salt Lake for a craft fair. ( I will write about that tomorrow) After much shopping, we left with Lois and Debbie, who dropped us off in Brigham to get our car. We took the Camry, and that car sucks. The headlights are really dim, and it just isn't the greatest car. After we dropped Melissa off at her house, we were heading back down the road, when the car started sliding all over the road. It was covered in black ice. We slid off the road, flipped around, and went into the bar pit. We just sat there for a minute, shocked. Just as we were dialing Justin Corbridge's phone number, two cars loaded with guys stopped, jumped out, and asked if we needed help. They went out into the snow and pushed us back onto the road. After that, my mom drove super slow the whole way home. We kept saying "What if there had been a telephone pole?" "What if a car had driven by, and we hit into them?" "What if we had run out into the highway, and had been broadsided?" These were running through my mind, and I am so glad that we were on a little, hardly traveled road surrounded by fields. And I am also so glad that those boys were nice enough to get out in the cold and get in the snow to help us out. I know that we were being watched over, and I am thankful for that. *just a note: My mom and I are totally fine, just a little shaken. The car suffered no damage, and it can't even be classified as a wreck.

SORRY!!

Sorry I didn't post anything for Thursday and Friday. But I am now working on one, and it will be posted!

Today I am thankful for...

Today I am thankful for Veteran's Day. I am really glad that there is a day to honor those brave men and women who risk their lives to protect our country, our freedoms, and our rights. I am so proud of them, and I know that this country wouldn't be what it is today without our military. I am so thankful for them, and for the civilians that work with them, like my dad. We have had brave, patriotic soldiers throughout our history, from the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, the World Wars, Vietnam, Korea, and now the war in Iraq. I encourage you to take a moment of silence and think about those men and women who have given their lives for our country. Pray for those that are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, and their families. If you know a Veteran, thank them for their service. So next time you go to church, think about those soldiers who fought for freedom of religion. Think of those rights we have, and think of the people who fought for them. I am proud to be an American. Are you?

Today I am thankful for...

Today I am thankful for having some awesome classes this tri! I had Bobcat News- a speech class, and yes, I can say my 'r's. It is a public speaking class. It is also the school news class, where we film a lot of different things every week. It was really fun and I had AMAZING people in my class! I also had French. J'adore le francais! C'est magnifique! I now want to go to Paris sooo bad! I am trying to convince my mom to let me go, but that's not going anywhere. And, of course, there is Ancient World History. My teacher, Mrs. Bates, is great. She is really funny and easy-going, and makes us laugh. She wants to show us Braveheart. Ya, she is pretty cool. I just hope we actually get to watch it! I am so glad I had some fun classes this tri, and met some pretty awesome people!
*sorry that it is a day late. I got kicked off the computer before I could publish it.

Today I am thankful for...

Today I am thankful for the beginning of Daylight Savings Time. Odd, I know. But when you have to be out the door before 7:00 each morning, get on the bus, change buses at the middle school, then have a 15 minute bus rid to Richmond, it is nice. When I leave to go to the bus stop in the morning, it is actually light outside! I don't have to feel my way down the street and around the corner to the bus. It also makes the school system look more humane when it isn't dark when we go to school. It will change soon, and I will be back to falling on the ice patch I didn't see because of the dark, but for now, I am glad it doesn't feel like 3 a.m. when I go to school.

I am thankful for...

Today I am thankful for my family. I have the best family in the world! I love to spend time with them, and I love it when they are all here. I feel so blessed to be in this family. My parents are amazing, and they are always there for us, and they did a great job raising us. Shawn, Justin, Casey, and Melissa are the best siblings EVER! And Krystal, Jessica, and Justin are AMAZING in-laws! And, of course, Victoria is the cutest little niece you could ask for! I am so thankful for everything they do for me, and they are great role-models! Thanks for everything, guys! Love you!

I am thankful for...

I saw this idea on facebook. Every day this month, I will post something that I am thankful for on the blog.

Can You Spell These Words?

Can you spell these three words?

S-L-A-C-K-E-R

P-R-O-C-R-A-S-T-I-N-A-T-O-R

L-A-Z-Y

What do these have in common? They describe my blogging for the last 6 months. So for the last little while, I have been deciding whether to give the blog up altogether, or to try again. I decided the latter. So from now on, I am going to try to have a post a week. If I get behind, feel free to let me know!

My New Favorite Movie!

Ok, I know what you're thinking right now. That I say every movie is the best movie ever. Well, not anymore. This one is. I saw it opening night, and I fell in love! So I was thinking I would do a little review of it, and maybe you guys will see it and love it like I do.
So, this movie is about Mike O'Donnell, a 37 year old man who basically hates his life. His wife wants a divorce, and his kids pretty much hate him. He goes to his old high school, and is remembering the old days, and wishes he could do everything over. his wish comes true, and, obviously, becomes 17 Again. He enrolls in high school with the help of his friend Ned, and he realizes that going back to high school isn't nearly as easy as he thought it would be. He realizes that he wasn't a good husband or father, so he decides to change his life around.
I loved this movie! It was hilarious, and I thought I would die laughing in a few parts. And of course, Zac Efron makes it so much better! I loved seeing him as a normal teen, not one that breaks out singing and dancing every 5 minutes. So go see it! here is a link to see the trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CW9TkWY6Cng

I'm BAAaack!

My mom and I just got back to lil Hyde Park after a week long vacation to see Shawn, Krystal and Victoria. We spent time in Williamsburg, Jamestown, New York City, Washington D.C., and in Belcamp, Maryland, where they live. I still have to download the (many) pictures I took while back east, but when I do, I will have some stories to tell!

Brad, Balloon, and Blow-up

This is a video of my dad on my birthday last year. He was trying to do the "Helium Voice" thing, but he had a hard time with it. I thought it was pretty funny!

Christmas Collage

This is a collage I made of some of the pictures from Christmas break. I know, I am not that good at making collages, but after lots of practice, I will get better! So these are just some of my favorite pictures. There are at least 100 more, but I think that a 150+ picture collage just wouldn't look so great. So sorry if your favorites aren't on here! Enjoy!
P.S- my picasa posts haven't been uploading lately, so I will cross my fingers that this will!!

OK Fellow Bloggers, here is my first little review. This is a book we read as a class in 5th grade. It's a little juvenile, but it is definitely in my top 5 favorite books. This is a book about a boy named Peter, his four best friends; James, Thomas, Prentiss and Tubby Ted. They are orphans that are being sent to the land of Rundoon to be servants for the evil King Zarboff the Third. On the ship, Peter meets a girl named Molly, and its all adventure from there! A pirate named Black Stache is out to steal a mysterious trunk, and Peter and Molly are determined to save it from him. This book is humor and adventure on every page. I laughed so hard when I read it for the first time. As you read it, details will sound strangely familiar to a story I am sure you have heard before! Go from London, to the Sea, to a deserted island in this adventure packed book! So read this book to see if Peter and Molly are able to save the trunk from the greedy grasps of Black Stache!

PROMISE!

Ok, for those of you who still read this blog, I am announcing that there will be ABSOLUTELY no more 4 month periods without a single post. I am going to try to go for once a week, at the least!! I keep telling myself to blog, but again, totally forget. So for my first post this week, I don't know what to do, so I am going to steal a little idea of Jessica's. I love her Wednesday's Read, and so I am going to do little reviews of books and movies. But don't worry, Jess, I won't call it Wednesday Reads, and I will not steal your thunder. Just if a really good book or movie I have seen lately pops into my head and I want to share, I will do a post. So stay tuned for the Book Review that will be here in the next day!

My bad!

The video doesn't work at the present moment. I will see if I can fix it, and then the blog will be back in business.

Back Again!!

Hey everybody! So I know a lot of you probably have given up on checking our blog, because its been so long, and won't even see this, but for those of you who have faith that I would one day be a blogger again, you can watch this. I didn't post anything from Christmas Break on our blog, and for that matter, nothing from Thanksgiving till now... but anyway, I discovered Picasa and have been having fun with it, and this is just a little something I put together. These pics are all from Christmas Break. As soon as something exciting comes up, I will start blogging again!
